Y Prif Weithredwr

Ymddiriedolaeth GIG Prifysgol Felindre

Fel sefydliad o bwys cenedlaethol o fewn GIG Cymru, mae Ymddiriedolaeth GIG Prifysgol Felindre yn darparu gwasanaethau canser arbenigol ar gyfer De Ddwyrain Cymru, ochr yn ochr â gwasanaethau gwaed, trawsblannu a diagnostig hanfodol i gleifion ac ysbytai ar draws Cymru gyfan. Mae ein gwaith yn gymhleth, yn hanfodol o ran diogelwch ac yn bwrpasol iawn, ac yn cael ei gefnogi gan weithlu medrus ac ymroddedig iawn.

Mae'r Ymddiriedolaeth bellach mewn cyfnod hollbwysig. Ochr yn ochr â'r pwysau gweithredol ac ariannol sy'n wynebu'r system iechyd ehangach, mae Felindre yn cwblhau un o'r rhaglenni trawsnewid mwyaf uchelgeisiol ym maes gofal iechyd Cymru: sef datblygu Canolfan Ganser Felindre newydd, o'r radd flaenaf; a moderneiddio gwasanaeth gwaed a thrawsblaniadau cenedlaethol Cymru.

Mae ein strategaeth deng mlynedd, Cyrchfan 2033, yn gosod uchelgais glir: darparu gofal o ansawdd uchel, cynaliadwy ac sy'n canolbwyntio ar y person; bod yn esiampl ar gyfer ymchwil, arloesedd a datblygiad digidol; a rhoi lles ac ymrwymiad ein staff wrth wraidd popeth a wnawn.

Yn dilyn cyfnod o newid, rydym nawr yn dymuno penodi Prif Weithredwr parhaol, a fydd yn chwarae rhan ganolog mewn gwireddu ein huchelgais - sef gwella canlyniadau i gleifion, rhoddwyr a chymunedau ar draws Cymru.

Rydym yn chwilio am arweinydd profiadol, sydd yn cael ei arwain gan werthoedd, ac sydd â hanes cryf o arwain ar lefel Bwrdd mewn sefydliad cymhleth yn y GIG, yn gyhoeddus neu'n fasnachol. Byddwch yn arweinydd credadwy, sy’n ymwybodol o wleidyddiaeth, ac sydd gyda’r gallu i arwain trawsnewid yn gyflym, mewn ffordd onest, agored a chynhwysol.

Mae hwn yn gyfle pwysig i gryfhau diwylliant, adfer hyder a llunio pennod nesaf yr Ymddiriedolaeth, ac i wneud gwahaniaeth parhaol i wasanaethau canser ac arbenigol yng Nghymru.

Chief Executive

Velindre University NHS Trust

As a nationally significant organisation within NHS Wales, Velindre University NHS Trust delivers specialist cancer services for South East Wales alongside critical blood, transplant and diagnostic services for patients and hospitals across the whole of Wales. Our work is complex, safety‑critical and deeply purposeful, underpinned by a highly skilled and committed workforce.

The Trust is now at a pivotal moment. Alongside the operational and financial pressures facing the wider health system, Velindre is completing one of the most ambitious transformation programmes in Welsh healthcare: development of the new, state‑of‑the‑art Velindre Cancer Centre; and the modernisation of Wales’s national blood and transplant service.

Our ten‑year strategy, Destination 2033, sets a clear ambition to deliver high‑quality, sustainable and person‑centred care; to be a beacon for research and innovation; and to place the wellbeing and engagement of our people at the heart of everything we do.

Following a period of change, we are now looking to appoint a substantive Chief Executive who will play a central role in turning our ambition into reality - improving outcomes for patients, donors and communities across Wales.

We are seeking an experienced, values‑led leader with a strong track record of Board‑level leadership in a complex NHS, public or commercial organisation. You will bring credibility, political awareness and the ability to lead transformation at pace, alongside a leadership style grounded in integrity, openness and inclusion.

This is a defining opportunity to strengthen culture, restore confidence and shape the Trust’s next chapter and to make a lasting difference to cancer and specialist services in Wales.
